BOULDER, COLORADO, December 15, 2010 – Stratom has just completed work under a contract with Woodward Governor Company that created a portable test rig system for machine-vision inspection of throttle bodies. The equipment will be able to identify which part is placed into the rig and verify whether the product has been labeled correctly.
Cory Dixon, Ph.D., Stratom’s robotics engineer, performed the majority of the work on the project due to his expertise in machine vision systems. The test station will be a National Instruments-based system that will make use of products such as LabVIEW and TestStand.
A video is available of the Automated Aircraft Ground Refueling (AAGR) project (machine-vision work performed at Stratom), which was completed under contract with the Air Force Research Laboratory.
