Software Engineer
As a member of our team, the candidate will develop software/firmware architecture for human/robotic interaction, autonomous robotic operations, and robotic payload integration. The candidate will work with leading providers of robotics within the DoD community to integrate our solutions with their software architecture.
Job responsibilities include:
- Development of software for interaction with operator control units to drive robotic systems
- Implement robotic payloads with various interface protocols (USB, Ethernet, FireWire, wireless networks)
- Provide sensor integration (laser, lidar, GPS, force)
- Payload integration
- Develop robotic simulation models and software
Candidate requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent is required. Concentration of robotics preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in a related field
- Programming in C++ and Unix (Linux preferred)
- Software/hardware integration
Desired Candidate Experience:
- Programming in Python
- Government R&D
- Small business innovation research (SBIRs)
- Experience working with automation companies
