Robotics Mechanical Engineer
As a member of our team, the candidate will perform product architecture definition, technical planning, engineering analysis and design, systems integration, execute engineering activities, develop technical solutions and perform systems functional analysis for robotic systems. The candidate will work with leading providers of robotics within the DoD community to integrate our solutions with their architecture.
Job responsibilities include:
- Developing engineering schedules and documentation including systems specifications
- Developing robotic product architectures
- Performing detailed engineering analysis to include: FEA, kinematics, motion analysis, motor analysis, autonomous controls, sensor integration, etc
- Evaluating and analyzing the development of robotics systems and equipment
- Supporting risk and configuration management activities
- Preparing technical and project status reports
- Conducting technical reviews throughout the project lifecycles
- Interacting with internal team, as well as partners and customers, to ensure the correct technical direction
Candidate requirements:
- Preferred advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field, with emphasis in machinery and/or robotics. Minimum Bachelors degree.
- 10+ years experience in manufacturing/robotics process engineering functions
- Proven ability to analyze procedures and processes and determine solutions to problems
- Demonstrated experience in robotics mechanical systems and software/hardware integration
- Excellent oral and written, particularly technical documentation, essential
- Previous experience working in support of DoD desirable
